I seem to enjoy using this app and reading posts, pressing the 'yes' or 'no' button, and even commenting. Although, I am starting to memorize many of the account names. Many of those helpful and even funny characters on here are seeming to become familiar to me. Is this normal?
I miss Ollieo. His advice was wonderful, but he disappeared this past summer.
I noticed there was a huge surge in new memberships in the fall, but most of them were a bunch of hate-mongering douche-bags. I stopped visiting as often when that happened, and now it looks like most of them have bit the dust.
@ dappled, also since you've joined this website, I think you give the most profound advice ever, most of your comments are so accurate and helpful and wise (except for the pajamas episode lol) even I am lost for words, it's good to see more people like you on IIN as some I've seen are just trollers :-) Did you ever meet Eva Braun? Lol, he/she was hilarious

Oh yes, definitely normal. There are some that I think abandoned their old screen names to get away from their reputation and image they had to uphold, and moved forward with a new name and 'color'. I have identified one I am fairly certain of, but not to worry, I am not into the art of revealing insignificant secrets. ;) But yes, there are others that I think of and wish to see their input on certain topics. I like to see the wide array of opinions; none right or wrong, just all very different. Humanity at its finest.
I think it's normal because I recognize them too.
I don't always agree with them, but I appreciate their input, as long as it's not foolish nonsense or misguided hatefulness.
I remember when I made this and here comes most of my favorites commenting away! :]

Yeah, Danny, I was lucky enough to overlap Eva (and Adolf). I was here for quite a while before I was brave enough to post. Hmm, I can't remember the subject of the post but there was one where they both commented independantly and then Adolf replied to Eva and really casually asked her if she fancied going for a drink some time. Perhaps they were the same person, but it was still neatly done. Pure entertainment.
I agree with randomjelly (which I find myself saying often here). So far, everyone who has posted is one of those I was thinking of when I talked about the core community. Every one of you has said something that's made me laugh out loud (it's not easy to do with me, so that's a big compliment to you all), although the person who did it most recently isn't even here yet.
Oh, and I think aussiewolf is female, you know. Because I'm pretty sure I thought she was a guy too until she said something or other that confused me. I go on about judgementalism all the time as if I don't do it, but I patently do because I formed a baseless opinion of her. I guess we just need to keep identifying it where it occurs, and learn from it. Like owning up to your mistakes, and being able to laugh at yourself. Pyjamas!

The people that commented above are some of my favorite. They give good advice when warranted and snarky replies to the idiots.
Sure, there's a core of about a dozen people who post most often than others. You build up a vague picture of what people's values are and there are people you feel more in common with than others. There are a couple of people who more often than not make me laugh.
That's cool :-) I've seen a few people come and go, some giving fantastic advice and others were just, well, plain nasty lol Some of the new comers here though are awesome, smart and down right hilarious. I'm still laughing at Valkeers Jay Leno impersonation on the toilet lol man that made me laugh :-D
