I'm a big metal head. anything rock metal stuff like that, but win someone plays some rap music all i can say is why, because i din't find it a real music. does anyone else feel this way
I'd like to add my piece to this discussion. I am a rapper who likes metal. The rap that you hear on the radio is guaranteed to be on the low end of lyrical intelligence.
Lil' Wayne disgusts me.
My favorite metal group is KillSwitch Engage.
I do understand why the two genres are so polarized, they have virtually nothing in common sound wise. But I refuse to believe rapping doesn't take talent... If you don't like it, I'm not trying to change your mind, I'm just pointing out that there is WAY more to the genre than the world gives it credit for.
If you feel like rapping is nothing more than talking over a beat, then it won't matter. But if you're okay with the sound of it, but think it's all unintelligent rambling over generic drum loops, I have a few songs to suggest:

I love both but not that booty shaken rap. Listen to gangsta rap like ugk or some 3 6 mafia
I mean, banging on instruments and screaming the entire song gets a little old too. Both horrible genres.
I listen to both but it sounds completely normal, rap and metal are really different from eachother so it's no surprise to only like one.

I like metal better than rap, by a lot. I don't like all out metal too much though. I like current rock bands, l as Three Days Grace, Trapt, Escape the Fate, and Five Finger Death Punch. Metal is way better than anything mainstream.

I'm pretty sure everybody hates "rape" too lol. Although I can't stand megadeth, terrible band IMO.
I have a very open musical taste but I HATE. I repeat HATE. Rape.

rap isn't proper music. It dodsn't take a genius to put together some words that rhyme then put it to some music.
I laugh at this, Its normal, anything out side of anyones midset does that. I use to be a metal head, but I've opened up, I listen to everything now and I look back and wonder how I listened to such noise. It's still music, it just doesn't click with me anymore. So just cause you don't understand it doesn't mean you can't, nor that there's nothing to understand.
