Is it normal in middle school this guy called me black panther?

I had a crush on him but he didn't know we would talk from time to time since we had math class together.I remember one time he asked me who I like I accidently said "you" because I was reading someting and he was like "What?Did you hear me?" I explained to him that I was reading something and he said "oh ahaha" .Thinking he would like me back I asked who he liked and no it was not me lol.

After that he called me black panther whenever we saw eachother,I just want to point out I am part black and its obvious.

    When I hear the term Black Panther, the first thing that comes to my mind is the militant "black power" movement in the 60's and 70's. As well as America, they were very active in the south of France.

      I don't know...he said he made nicknames for everybody but I've never heard him call someone by a name but whenever he calls me black panther he is always smiling really big.

        If he's smiling it sounds like he says it in a good way :) Did you know there was a group of five deadly martial artists called the Black Panthers?

        I would say it is kind of a flirty nickname. I think he means it in a good or at worst a bad joke kind of way.
