Is it normal in crowd want alone, when alone want crowd?

Sorry for the terrible title i could't fit it in. So, when i'm surrounded by people i can get really angry or sad. But when i'm alone i want to be around people.

I think we just crave human contact even though we know people can hurt us or make us feel sad, because they can also make us happy and feel like we belong, to put it simply.

    • Very true, that's one side. But there wouldn't be the conflict he/she mentions without an opposing force.

It's his/her solitary independant side conflicting with his/her needy pack animal side.

Humans can't escape the pack animals we are at base, so we need crowds, familys, groups in order to feel safe, comforted, alive.

But there is almost a "higher train of thought" that we all have, it's that voice in your head that seperates you from everyone else "the I inside".

Social confliction of all kinds happens to most people in varying degrees due to this.

Perhaps the people you want to be with aren't the people you get. Most of us crave company, but most of us would rather the company of our choosing. Being lonely enough to compromise, then realising hanging out with the wrong people is as bad as being alone, isn't a great situation to be in.
