Yes, it is normal to have all kinds of strange symptoms at menstruation. The hormone levels can cause any aches and pains to feel worse because of the way they work on the physiology.
Digestive discomfort isn't uncommon because hormones affect that too. If a woman has any bowel or candida issues, this is the time they show up. The toxins from digestive products can actually have a negative feedback on the period and upset the hormonal balance. If you can have a colonic (after you have recovered from your period), it really can help since it cleans out the intestines and a bonus is that you feel- and look- fantastic a day or two later because it takes away a bloated feel and the skin often looks radiant!
Anyway, these are some of the things that have helped me after over thirty years of periods!
Incidentally, ignore all those insensitive tossers who have no idea what they are talking about. It is so sad to see how ill mannered and yobbish some people are about such an important event for girls and women in this so-called enlightened age.
Take good care of yourself...
my period always hurts so much :|
you're so lucky it never hurt for you before.
sometimes i can't even walk because it's hurting too much.
It's been a long time but here goes!.....
I'm not sure of your age but if you are having an abnormal amount of pain I would recommend seeing a OB/GYN... you could have an ovarian cyst that can cause quite a bit of "sharp, stabbing pains" but if it is the normal "cramping/aching" see below...Sorry that you are hurting. Hope you get to feeling better!
Don't drink "cold" beverages...
DO drink / sip "hot tea" such as "constant Comment" or any tasty teas.
Avoid a lot of carbohydrates and greasy foods.
If you don't have a heating pad, take a hand towel or small bath towel and wet with HOT water then put inside a plastic garbage bag...Having a microwave would be easier to heat the towel... be careful of any steam! Steam can cause a pretty nasty burn...apply to your back and/or lower stomach. You can "layer out" different thicknesses of cloth such as a thin towel, pillow case, etc...depending on how much heat is comfortable. Better yet? Get some hot tea, light a candle(s) around your bathtub and soak in a good hot bath! BUT! NOT TOO HOT!!!... Relax and enjoy! You'll feel better in no time!
It's completely normal, many girls are like that especially if you're in your teens.
It's supposed to do that, at least it was this way when I last checked. But actually, the is in the womb not the actual stomach. If it gets to be too much, go see a doctor.
"I'm on my period, is it normal I am getting period pains?".
Wow, do you have to ask, really?
Woah you dun't even known that. I wonder how you'd react when you is pragnet.
