Is it normal im dissapointed in obama

I was so excited to have a black president. I felt so much pride... but now im dissapointed in him. He makes false promises and double talks. I even find him a bit racist. For the record i am a proud black man, who has worked my entire life to make my community better

Just vote for whose politics you agree with in 2012. Luckily Obama is for SURE a one term president. And I'm sooo sick of the "look what he inherited" bullshit.
He is disappointing, for you and for everyone who really believes in true change.
Now all there is to do is VOTE 2012!!!

If a president received money(for his political campaign)by freelancers, immediately his presidential position is not his own but whoever bought it for him.

Just because he's black doesn't change the pressures of being in office. You have to try and keep republicans, democrats, and various private parties all happy... While balancing budget, foreign affairs, free market, etc. You cant make everyone happy in this position, so of course it's normal to be disappointed. Big promises, cut taxes, and more spending is the pathway to office. But once you get in there, reality sets in.

I can totally understand why you are disapointed in Obama. I have never liked him because I saw early on that he is a panderer and will say almost anything to get people to vote for him. He got into office by being a Bush Basher and now he has worn that excuse out and is unable to stand on his own two feet. The point is that this has nothing to do with him being black or white it is simply a statement about his own character. I would like to have seen Colin Powell run for president; he would have had my complete support. The one good thing that will come of Obama’s presidency it the fact that a black man can become prisident in the USA.

As the others have said, this is politics my friend, everyone's a bit shady, if not entirely. Besides, Obama has to first clean up the mess Bush left behind before he can be the best at his agenda. Also, if you really want big change you have to get out there yourself and then you find out just how long it takes to get what you want done. I do marches at the capital and write the governor and go to meetings at the university because we're all trying to improve the disgusting way our governor cuts school and health funding. It's not easy and it doesn't always seem to get us far but at least we work toward our beliefs and express our opinions (and get in the paper!) Anyway, you can't expect the president to make you happy when it comes to politics or even live up to all your expectations. They're politicians and they're human and they have a ton of things to do. You have to make your own difference sometimes. I am also African American and even if he hasn't made miracles I'm still proud of him because he's elegant, solid and he's not petty, he told the press to back off Palin's daughter because her children are off limits. He feels bashing family should not be a part of politics, he said, "People's children are especially off limits, they should not be a part of our politics it is not appropriate and it is not relevant". He further went on to remind the press "My mother had me at eighteen" and stated that if anyone in his campaign were involved with rumors about Palin's children they would be fired. I know that may not seem like much but to me it was impressive because he could have easily gone along with the family bashing, other politicians have.

  • I mean this in no offense to anyone, but the election would have been a lot closer, and possibly reversed, if All the candidates were the same race. It doesn't matter which race, but just if they were all the sane. I think race played a huge part in the election.
