Is it normal if you like someone and thier best friend too?

okay so look, i like this girl, shes really nice, cute, smart and i really like her. On the other hand her best friend is equally as cute, smart and nice. I know thier friendship is really strong, like these two are BFFFL. If i go out with one it sorta cancels the chances of me and the other one.
