Hi, I have this thing where I don't like others liking something that I really really like. For example, a song. If I have a valuable connection with a song and I hear someone else likes it, someone i know btw, I get annoyed because idk i guess I want them to think of me when they hear that song or I want them to realize that my connection with the song is better than theirs. ( I know it sounds really bad lol). It can go from a song to a show, favorite store, ideal university, sometimes a guy but more on items and stuff. If its like a store, I want them to realize thats my favorite store and you cant share the connection I share with it. I just have this urge to let everyone know that my connection with these things is greater and more special than theirs will ever be. I want to get rid of this cause when I feel like this, possessive, Im not a happy woman, im annoyed, and the nerves get the best of me so I want it to go away in order to live in peace.

    I am exactly the same. For example, a song that reminds me of my partner and when ever it comes on I think of him and our connection we have, I feel like no one else is allowed to like the same song. It's my song not yours so stop listening to it. It's defo normal lol :-)

    uh no...why are u more important than anyone else? since when did u start shitting golden turds? that is the entire purpose of a song written by the songwriter is to get it out there so other people can enjoy and relate to it in their own way.

    if a song holds meaning to me and i find someone else that feels the same i like it. makes me feel like im not the only one out their that feels like this...that other people think like me? i find comfort in simalarity. why would u not? isnt that the purpose of this entire site??? is it normal..do others feel or think like me? well some will and some wont.

    whatever the case maybe...if someone likes "ur" song then it doesnt minimize ur interpretation of it or meaning for it. neither should it minimize theirs.

    as long as the sonf didnt come out like 2 weeks ago its perfectly fine. i know alot of die hard beetles fans that knew everyrthing there is to know about them listened to every single song and once the rock band came out they hated all the bandwagoners. im the only one im my area who really listens to the misfits (yeah i know it sucks) and im just waiting for the day that just fucking beiber or kanye wests uses the feind trademark skull on their shirt or cover a song and then everyone somehow is a 'fits fan
