Is it normal if im not photogenic but look good in person?

If im not photogenic then how the hell would I know if i look good in person!? Well, a lot of people compliment me and Im not conceited but I guess i already have that confidence where yah Im a good looking person period. However, it frustrates me that in pictures i dnt look half of what I see in the mirror or I look like in person according to everyone. When I go out Im satified with what i see in the mirror but as soon as we start taking pics its a whole different person its annoying! I dont like wearing too much make up and especially when I see in the mirror how much it is i freak but in the pictures itll show. So its like ok whats more important, looking capturing in a photo and risk looking like a drag queen in person OR looking beautiful in person but ok in pictures since in person counts more. But people see pictures first especially on social networks so theyll see Im not that pretty when in person I am. Sometimes I think what if thats how I really do look? and pple see that as attractive? why? I have no idea. I dont want to put more make up but i think thats the only solution to it. And no im not photoshopping!

    If it makes you feel better, a lot of people who are photogenic don't look good in person! For example I was friends with a model, who I couldn't believe was a model, because honestly she was not that attractive in person. Until I saw her photos and she looked amazing in them! It goes both ways, it is just that being photogenic is rarer.

    Same here I hate people taking the photos I like taking it cus I can make myself look good and I hate how I Thimbu look good and then whennim
    Out I see my reflection and I'm like wow I am sooooo ugly It stinks. Ure not alone

    I think with photos is that unlike reflections, we can see ourselves from any angle, but also don't forget that a photo flattens things so you could look really horrible in a picture in comparison to your reflection as well as taking into consideration different angles which you're not accostumed to; this may change when stuff like 3D photos become a reality but then again it may not, just a theory.

    I never had a good photo, i almost wonder if a professional could take a pic of me and like give me pointers, but that seems weird cause imma guy, but i just like to have atleast one nice photo of myself... but yeah this is super normal, like everyone thinks this.

    try a different angle, for eg a photo taken from above looks better, with you and yr upturned face

    Ugh-I have that, in the mirror I think I look okay-ish but I look pug-ugly in all photos of me. Sad times :(
