Is it normal if i wish i lived in the mythology times

Preferably the Trojan War or the war that took place on the movie 300. I sometimes wish I had lived through the mythology times where people were true warriors and fighting in a war required sword fighting skill which requires speed, agility, strength, and power. It's not like fighting in our time where someone just fires a gun which doesn't take any skill. The art of war was more meaningful back in the mythological times. People were truly heroes for what they done back then like Achilles. Is it normal to wish I lived in those times?

    People have a way of embellishing past events. Life in that time was often a short and brutal existence, dotted with intervals of calm and peace.

    More than likely instead of living the life of a heroic soldier caught up in the struggle of nations and ideas, you'd be sleeping out in the wild with a band of leaves over your head to act as "shelter" from the -5 degree weather while hiding from the enemy raiders.

    (Because after all, raiders don't abide by any virtue and they've brought 400 swords to match your village's 2 plows)

    It sounds like you think it never happened when you say "mythological". Maybe "ancient" would be a more fitting term?
    anyway. I agree with valkeer. You are romanticizing this age a bit too much. Though.. i must say. Swords do look awsome ^^

    I feel the same way about guns. It's lazy. And pathetic. Take someone's life with a pull of a trigger. How lame!
