Is it normal if i like being a lightweight?

I don't want to be drinking a lot and risking my health or buying more and wasting money til I get buzzed. I love drinking tho but I want to keep it as a lightweight so I just make sure as soon as I feel something I stop so my system won't want more and more you know. I also see friends who will drink and drink and drink and they're still sober, what's the fun in that? then they just have to keep drinking risking their health. I'm good as a lightweight and don't want to change. I know lightweights get made fun of blah blah but I get the last laugh at the end of the day, well not really cause it's a serious issue but still that doesn't pressure me to go further even if I know I can I won't cause I just want to keep it simple and fun. Haha I sound like a party pooper but Im not I'm just smart about it and careful :P

Make sure you're not too much of a lightweight though! You might float away. D:

Same here! It's brilliant, I can get happy from one drink, it's sure to save me a lot of money in the future. I just turned 18, so hopefully I now that I can drink I don't grow a tolerance to it! But at least we're far less likely to get alcohol posioning.

I'm a lightweight and love it. It just takes a smaller amount of it to feel the effects. One beer for me is about three for the average adult. I'm not being safer or healthier for drinking less, it's just the way my body works.

I am happy to have a drink, but like you I stop when I feel slightly 'merry', or before.

I have to say I went out on a hen night recently and the sights I saw when leaving the nightclub (and in the nightclub) were enough to put you off drinking for life! For example: A guy throwing up on the dance floor and then turning round to chat up a girl, and outside a young girl kneeling in the middle of the pavement throwing up everywhere, while her friend was standing over her screaming at anyone who looked!

I used to drink when I was younger, but never to the point of embarrassing myself in public like that!

Being a lightweight means you're on the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to "Alcoholic".
Being further away from being an alcoholic is something I believe is a good thing and should be perfectly normal.
