Is it normal if i don't like people like me?

So its just such a twisted and stressful thing. Being with my current bf has really opened up a lot of things. I realized what kinda man I want which is like him and in general what kind of people I am attracted to. And it just so happens they're kind of the opposite of me...I know opposites attract sometimes but in a way I wish I was more like the people, including my bf, I'm attracted to.

I don't blame why I may turn off my bf because of the way I am. You have the really ambitious people then you have the laid back chill ones. I guess you can categorize me under the laid back and you can consider him as an ambitious type. I like people who have their shit together and know what they want. I get so turned off at guys who prioritize their gfs first like they have no other goals in life. But it just so happens I prioritize my bf over everything else and I don't like it but it's just natural.

I am trying to be more like him and the pple im attracted to not just to better myself but because it might turn on my bf more. We did kind of break up but were on good friendly terms I just feel like if I were to show him what he shows me, he'd be pretty enthusiastic about getting with me. Plus I'd be more well off as a person than just laying low. I get where my bf comes from if he's turned off by me cause I get turned off by people who are like me and ugh it just frustrates me thinking he looks at me like I look at those people.
