Hey, I just found out my boyfriend and his father do this. I feel weirded out by it, but I'm not sure if it's normal or not.
As a father (of a pre-teen daughter), I find this pretty odd.
I firmly believe that parents should talk to their kids honestly about sex, but there are boundaries. Parents should definitely talk to their kids about the basic biological facts. It's also fine to talk about sexual relationships in generalities and hypotheticals. And it's good if kids understand that some people have unusual sexual interests, as long as the parent isn't forcing that information on them and they choose their words carefully.
But I believe that a parent showing their kid the kind of porn that turns them on is not healthy. Apart from everything else, that has to set up all sorts of weird psychosexual stuff (conscious and subconscious) in the kid's head about what goes on between his mother and father. It also sounds like it's about the parent trying to indoctrinate the kid into believing that a certain type of woman is sexually attractive and certain types of sexual activity are normal. Those are things that the kid should be free to figure out for themselves.
If the son is young then he shouldn't even be looking at porn, for one thing it is not age appropriate.
The dad should be ashamed of himself.
