Is it normal i wish they still made quaaludes?

Quaaludes were the best anxiety drug and they aren't around anymore. They weren't as addictive as these drugs today and they worked better! Anybody else miss them?

      High incidence of abuse was the official reason. Ludes were very popular in the 70's recreationally, and they stopped dispensing them in the U.S. around 83.

        Hmmm I think Xanax, klonzpan and Valium are abused a lot too and used recreationally

            Got it. Thanks for explaining it to me. I was like 5 in 1983 or so. I don't remember these drugs!

              Lol, I was only 8. I had tried them in my travels sometime back, and liked them, so I researched why I couldn't get them here. They controlled my anxiety better than any benzo, and felt pretty good as well.

          Those drugs (benzos) are abused but carry an extremely small chance of death by overdose by themselves. Most benzo overdoses are caused by combining them with another drug like alcohol.

          Quaaludes are very strong CNS depressants and along with other barbiturates and similar acting drugs, they got replaced with the much safer benzos to cut down on od deaths. Those types of drugs still exist but are generally reserved for anesthesia and treatment of siezures.
