Is it normal i wish there was a place where nobody could hear me?

Nobody knows I love to sing.
I'm not that great at it and I never sing in public, even if everyone else is singing. I'll occasionally try to join in but my heart will be beating so loud I can't hit a single note. Sometimes when I'm home alone I sing a little. But only very quietly because I'm afraid my neighbours might hear me. However I still really love singing and I guess that must sound strange.
I just wish I had a sound proof room or I was alone in the desert and could just sing however loud I want to.
Does this make any sense?

PS: I'd have to leave my country to find a place I could be sure nobody was in hearing range.

    YES! I completely understand. I love to sing and sort of know I can. But I can't bring myself to in front of most people I know. It's very frustrating. So yes, the idea of somewhere no one can hear me is very appealing. You are definitely not alone.

    I wish the exact opposite thing, I wish there was a place where I couldn't hear anyone, or their cars, or their alarms, or anything. I think there are millions of places that are full of people but still you know for sure nobody will hear you. I usually go singing while I'm walikng down the stret, for example. The traffic noise is so loud, I can't even hear myself, so I know for a fact no one else can.

    My friend and I usually sing really stupid pop songs from the 90's and we are not at all good but we have fun. One of us starts and then the other just jumps into song. So just sing it doesn't matter who's listening, other people will either not care or enjoy it ;D
