Im a guy and I have pink underpants and purple socks. They're not frilly or feminine other than being pink. IIN?

    Pink wasn't considered a masculine color until the early 20th century. It is strong and bold and associated with the fierceness of the color red. And blue was considered the feminine color because it was always associated with the Virgin Mary. I don't know why it changed. But now pink and blue carry the opposite meaning they once did.

    So go on, own the color pink!

      This was one of the more insightful things I had read here in a while.

      I agree. The appearance of something is too often mistaken for the actuality of it. Any given color has no internal value besides the ones we as a society give it.

      And I had read that about pink and blue somewhere; it wasn't until you said it that it was called to remembrance.

      A interesting fact- I think I read once that geniuses seem to like the color dark red.

        Thanks, but oops, my first sentence came out a little backwards. I meant feminine. But I think people understood my point. I should probably go back and read what I write every now and then. Oh well. :)

    what's wrong with pink? it's only a color. when people associate the color pink and rainbows with homosexuality, it pisses me off.

    I won't lie, it's amusing to see people that are like, "hard" thug gangsters walking about in pink shirts or sneakers, but for all else, it's becoming more normal.
