Am I the only one shocked to find out she was gay ? I did not believe it I do not know i kind of did . She just seems like one of those poeple who you can not imagine dating anyone but would be nice to talk to and seems like an all around nice person . I am not saying I thought she was anything but I kind of can not imagine her with poeple I figured she was proboly one those poeple who do not date alot . I do not know but it shocked poeple keep telling me its ovbious like she is flaming ? I do not see anything that screams she is a big flaming lesbien . I am not saying anything against lesbiens but I did not think it was ovboius .

          No she is more tomboyish than anything else and generally tomboys are not gay and turn out to be straight chick who like boy stuff . The stereotype of gays would be Big butch women and that’s considered a obvious gay I am not saying this is correct but to me I see nothing screaming " I’m a lez and I love females " she just seems like a very charming lady that happens to be gay . My point is she does not seem ruggish or Manish or flaunt it saying" hey everyone Im gay you better believe it you better like it" . As so many of the gay celebrities will do. So she is a bit tomboyish that is no indication of her sexuality or else that would indicate that you could hint all young girls who like to skateboard , and , play sports and wear a cap backwards, and , wear baggy close may infact be into Women . This is not the case in Most of the cases so I do not know what about her Screams she is gay because I think she would blend well with the tomboy population and no one would know the difference . Also to have a indicator you need to have something that is present in a large percent of the population her mearly being a tomboy cutting her hair short and wearing suits indicates nothing , business women wear suits so do comedians and people on talk shows right ? a lot of women older cut it short because they are trying something new or its easier to manage . A lot of older women as well as teenage girls act rather unfeminane . women because they stopped caring about being prissy and have jobs and work . Or girls because at teen years they feel like doing what they are comfortable in . All this is very common for straight women as is noted in Ellen so I do not see what the huge indicators are ? I think it mearly is a coesidance she happens to have these traits .

    I love ellen ! But yoo can totally tell she is a leabian, but i guess that could just be me because i have been bought up around gay people & always had lesbian/gay/transgender friends, after a while yoo can kinda distinguish who might be gay (:

    I was more shocked to find out Susie Orman and Rosie were gay. I was quite young then. I was surprised with Ellen, but I had to have been in middle school or younger when I found out. With all of them, it's a bit obvious.

    I'm the opposite. When she had her TV show, she played a straight character and I kept thinking, "Why is that lesbian trying to date men?" Same with the British sports presenter Clare Balding. It came out recently that she's gay and I couldn't understand how it was a surprise to anyone. I'd never for a moment imagined her as straight.

        I kind of never thought about it. It seemed so obvious she was gay that I just never imagined her in that context. Having said that, I've had girlfriends who turned out to be gay and I never spotted it until they broke up with me and then never dated guys again. :/

      Wow ? I do not know how I never new I did not know till she came out with her girlfreind and said hey poeple im gay ! and Im like what ? no ? she isnt gay really ? made me sad honestly ? I auctully thought she would just stay single forever honest to god I can not imagine her with anyone really but I think she is very funny . I still can not imagine her dating it sounds so wierd she seems more a one person act .

          She has a comedy show she apperently started out as a Comedian and later got a talkshow . I auctully like her talkshow and I love her comedy I think she is really funny . I also saw her in a Clarisal commercial .
