Is it normal i want to tell my neighbor i don't want to be friends

I have this neighbor and he's friends with my boyfriend and he's nice but I just don't like being around the guy. He annoys me with the things he says and my feelings haven't changed through the year. No matter how nice this guy is he just annoys the crap out of me for some natural reason I guess. I dont mind him hanging out with my boyfriend I guess but he thinks I'm his friend. The guy is nice so unlike myself I feel obligated to act nice and I feel like a douche because I don't even like him. Would it be total dick of me to tell this guy look, stay away from me, your presence annoys me?

    With my experience I would think it would be weird if you told your neighbor that you wanted to be friends. Either you are or you aren't friends. If I didn't want to be friends I wouldn't talk to him, He would get the point.

    Always trust your gut reaction to ppl. If you just don't like someone and can't figure out why cause they seem nice and other ppl like them , it's usually because your picking up something about them that's not right. Just be respective of him but avoid him. If anyone questions it , you can always just say you feel his and your personality clash. Every time I've not followed my bad feeling about someone because I was the only one to feel that way I regretted it later when the person showed their true colors and it turned out somehow I was seeing what no one else saw. Better to lose out on a possible friend than leave the door to your life open to a jerk or worse.

    Tell him nicely that he annoys the crap out of you and you would prefer not to be friends. Try your best not to hurt his feelings. At least if you do this, you will not be a complete and total douche. I have had experience with this before.
