With the number of cheating posts recently I was wondering do you think it is normal that I want to stay faithful to my boyfriend?

Of course it's normal & so it fucking should be...
Being unfaithful is imo the most disrespectful kick in the face you can give to the person you're with.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and have been faithful since day 1. :)

This site only represents a small portion of people and most of its users ask questions that they know fall under the taboo category. Just because there are a lot of posts asking about cheating and other things that most would find repulsive doesn't mean it's a common occurence.

I still believe people have values and that being monogomous and faithful is more common than cheating.

In my experience girls are more likely to cheat in long term relationships.

    • I have a long list of asshole ex's that can disprove your theory.

Maybe there's something inherently wrong with you that only becomes apparent after a certain length of time which triggers your boyfriends to cheat, you being rubbish in bed would be my first guess as that's why they probably want to go find it somewhere else.

I was actually being serious. I know 12 girls in the past 5 or 6 years who have cheated on their longterm boyfriends, I only know 1 guy who has cheated. Those sort of numbers speak for themselves.

            • If this is you being serious, I feel deeply sorry for you. I wasn't saying mostly mean cheat, I know many female cheaters too but you saying mostly females cheat is sexist and stupid.

Isn't that ultimately what most people want? Why wouldn't it be normal?

It is completely normal to want to stay faithful to your boyfriend. That's the whole point of a relationship, isn't it?

  • Ofcourse its normal! Cheating is a loathesome thing to do and anyone who cheats deserves a machete to the kneecaps.

def not normal. You should start getting to know his best friend better, maybe reconnect with your exes.
