I live in an average area in Canada, and there's not really anything super crazy that ever happens. I want to move somewhere where crazy shit is happening all the time, and it's poorer than here. I don't mean Syria levels, but more Compton levels
Ugh... I never understand people like you. I moved away from extremely rough area to the nice little town I live in now. I meet people who say, "It's no fun here. I want to move to New York or something where it's exciting. It's too nice here."
I laugh at the fact they want to trade an area that has little to no air pollution, crime is barely up, you dont fear being stalked/raped as often (both men and women), and you don't have to hold on to your shit tightly for an area that's just constant worry left and right. I guess it'll help you develop thick skin, but it's no fun.
It's a normal thought but once it's reality...? You'll change your mind when you get robbed, can't leave your house unattended, kids can't wait for the bus alone...
People in these neighborhoods also don't tend to take 'ghetto tourists' lightly.
If your life is so boring where you now live that you want to live somewhere dangerous, try volunteering in an Indigenous community: Native America if you're in the us or canada, remote Aboriginal if in Australia. I guarantee you won't be bored and there'll be plenty going on.
Alternatively, turn on your brain and consider moving somewhere that's interesting for reasons other than danger: there must be lots of places like that in whatever country you live in.
Second alternatively, make your life more interesting where you are.
Yeah...you say that now, but once you actually live there you'll want out. I'm from a ghetto town and it goes like this:
-People steal from each other.
-There's always someone getting shot.
-People disobey traffic laws: they drive on the wrong side of the road all the time, speed past red lights/stop signs, or they're crashing into something stupid like a parked car or traffic sign.
-There's a high amount of sex offenders.
-Pets and half naked kids are running in the streets, unsupervised.(usually people with more than 2 kids or more than two pets seem to neglect them)
-Drug addicts and drunks wander around in the daytime(Lots of drug dealers here, btw).
Also a good portion of the people here are loud, violent, easily offended, foodstamp hogging whiners with this "poor me" victim mentality. If you're more well off financially, people will try to rob you, sue you, or hurt you. My town sucks. I barely live here anymore. I'm mostly at my boyfriend's because the people in his town actually do honest things.
