Is it normal i want to do this when i die?

So when I die, I want bouncers outside my funeral home to ensure that nobody I disliked can get in to see my body in a casket. I will make a list before I die of the people who are allowed to come inside the funeral home.

I just want the people that have been mean to me and hurt me during my life to suffer. So they will not be allowed in to see my body or to say a fake "I'm sorry for your loss" to my parents or whatever.

I think the reson behind my initial thoughts about this are because of the way complete jerks feel they have a right to come to someones funeral when they were not nice to the deceased peron at all. My friend died a year ago and it pissed me off how people that hated him and would make fun of him came to his calling hours/funeral and pretended they were like his best friend.

What im saying is that funerals tend to attract the vultures, the people who go to see the body because they are curious etc. So I will not let that happen to me. Because I know who my friends are and who they aren't.

I understand. There's one person I can think of that I wouldn't want to come to my funeral. She's a liar and will probably pretend we were really close and tell people how she "helped me" when I lived with her.

I don't see why anyone who's not your friend would want to see your bady in the first place. It's normal, but when your dead, how would you know who's going to see your body either way?

God, I hate those fake "I'm sorry for your loss" people... we see through the bullshit! we're just too distraught to care about telling you to fuck off!

is this normal? I think not, but it's a good idea.

It's all good and well having such vivid plans for your funeral... but frankly mate, you'll be the last one to know if the plans went ahead or not!

Why haven't I ever thought about this?

I might just steal that idea from you :)

Totally normal. I would only want people close to me to be at my funeral.

Why don't you just close the coffin or leave your body to science?

You cannot expect anyone to create nastiness at a funeral by not letting certain people in.

Make a will and leave the people you don't like, enough money to buy a length of rope - only if they use it to hang themselves ;o)

    • First off thanks for commenting on my story!
And to answer your question about why don't I have a closed coffin or leave my body to science is because 1. I am too hot to have a cosed coffin, and 2. I would rather not be a cadaver in some college or a scientific experiment, I just would like to rest in peace.

And that last part about the will was hilarious lmao, I think I just peed myself!

The last part regarding the will was a real case when a man left his wife nothing only the money to buy a length of rope if she hung herself. She contested the will in court. The ruling was that you couldn't specify what the money had to be used for after your death.

However i read it almost 30 years ago and can't remember if she was awarded the rest of his estate :o)

Buy one (and pre-tie the knot) for each of those people and keep it in a box in your garage.
Leave them the actual rope in your will and a note on where your family can find the ropes and the contact details of the people to give them to.

I will just let a few close people decide who they want at my funeral. Its for them not me anyways. Not sure how many people I know would even know I died soon enough to attend a funeral any how.

    Hahaha.

My Mom and I are literally the only women in our family that didn't end up being un-wed teen Mom drop outs and that is partially attributed to my Mom being adopted well-adjusted family. Literally the only women. Our family hates us and would love to spit in our coffins and I am sure they'd be more than willing to put the booze down long enough to do so.

I kind of feel like laughing at that but then I'm not really sure. Why does this make me feel so torn....

There's a solution to this. Don't piss off people to the point that they'd be happy to see you dead?

    =)

You should have it written in a will / arranged with those who would survive you that you want a small family affair, with a short guest list. Important relatives, friends, and maybe a few others only. They will be your 'bouncers'.
