Ever since I was a kid, I always used to get excited when I would bite things. I used to call it my 'frenzy' because I would chomp onto something soft (like a pillow or a pool toy) and I wouldn't be able to stop for about a minute. I thought I had grown out of it until I started dating. In a previous relationship, we had been cuddling and my girlfriend reached over my chest for something. The frenzy overtook me and I bit her on the arm. Not too hard, but it still kind of freaked her out. Eventually, she grew to like it to the point were it was almost sexual for the both of us, but now that I'm in a new relationship, I feel the need to bite her more than kiss her. Is this normal?

    if you can control it, and your girlfriend is happy with it, that's all cool.

    What's not cool is if it is uncontrollable. which you suggest it is when you say things like "the frenzy overtook me"

    You need to work on controlling it. Maybe this is through satisfying the desire more often in a controlled way, so you don't have to keep it locked in, which might be what leads it to have to burst out once in a while.
