I've had one before. I was in hospital and they were going to perform surgery one me, but I realised I was dreaming so I turned the surgeon into a clown then ran away, then I woke up. Wasn't really that interesting. I normally dream every night.

To be honest, if I were you I wouldn't bother because a normal dream is much more interesting and meaningful. But if you do want to have one then you have to work quite hard to have one optionally. You have to think about dreams before you go to sleep and as soon as you wake up to remember the dream because you forgot dreams VERY quickly, but remembering first thing in the morning, as you can assume, is very difficult.

So think about dreams almost constantly every morning so if you do have this type of dream you might just remember it. You proberbly have these dreams quite occasionally but forget them as soon or not long after waking up.

But that being said it is not guaranteed you will remember, or even have this dream. But you should remember more normal dreams at least. I followed this and dream almost every night and remember them as soon as I wake up.

    Good luck!

Why in the motherfucking shit would transforming the man cutting you open into a CLOWN make it a better dream?

I know it was quite a crappy dream, but the fact i could comtrol what happened, and I knew I was dreaming, was quite cool. Still prefer normal dreams though:)

I'm somewhat of a lucid dreamer. If I can tell it's a dream, I could most likely control it.

i used to do this a lot as a kid. as iv'e gotten older i can no longer change my dreams while sleeping. instead now i get stuck in dreams within dreams and even occasionally, sleep paralysis which is very frustrating.

I too want to become a lucid dreamer. I have a question about the journal. Are you supposed to wtrite down what you dreamed of, what you want to dream of or both?

You can do both. part of learning to dream lucidly is learning to realize when you're dreaming. writing down your dreams when you wake up can help you to look for signs or clues to let you know you're dreaming. another part of lucid dreaming is learning to control what you dream about. writing down or thinking about particular subjects just before you go to bed can help with this.

The first step is to get a dream diary to write down your dreams in every night. (apparently)

I don't know the next step because I didn't get that far.

  • HERE IS HOW YOU DO IT!!!

    Ok,

Lucid dreaming basically consists of coming to the realization (in your dream) that:

    1. You have absolute power.
    2. There are no consequences for your actions.

In order to achieve this in dreamland, you must achieve this in life. Lucid dreaming will then come naturally.

    You welcome.

I don't think I've had a lucid dream, but it would be interesting. If you read dreammoods.com, or any site like that, it'll tell you more about lucid dreaming.

Keep a notebook or journal next your bed. as soon as you wake up, jot down whatever you can remember from your dreams. lucid dreaming takes a lot of practice, but it can kind of fun, especially when you devise interesting ways to get out of sticky/scary situations. i always give myself super powers!
