Is it normal i want to be a weather person?

I know that jobs dealing with weather do not generally pay very well. It is considered a type of science but it doesn't generate a lot of funds generally.

However I know there is many disasters in a lot of the world and I want to be prepared for every single instance. I want to build a house that can prepare you for every disaster. Such as tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanoes, floods and earthquakes. I know that disasters happen everywhere in the world and we need to be prepared for it.

I have made designs for houses and plotted out how to prepare for such disasters. I have plotted out for every situation even having a house broken into and how to stop burglars.

I want to learn programming so I can make virus protection to protect your computer. I have done this from the time I was very small and always thought of ways to protect myself and how to protect others from all possible issues, and disasters. Am I completely insane???? or is this normal?

Why don't you go into architecture as well?

    • I actually did consider architecture. I wasn't sure I should pursue because of the housing crash. I did not want to pursue a field I knew was not going to make me any money.

I understand your concerns. I was reading that for many years the Architecture profession was very steady. However, as you said, since the crash, the filed is very difficult to find work in. Few are able to get a job in a firm straight out of university. The ones that can't are going to be saddled by student loans and more than likely, will have difficulty paying them off.

The same thing goes with Art school and the degree(s) you can get out of them.

It is a shame that you can't pursue this profession because the economy is so bad.

What about computer programming? I hear that career can be very profitable. Perhaps, you could go into something like computer animation and use your architectural designs in projects?

Honestly I can't say that's a very common goal. But it sounds like a perfectly worthy one.

Fifty-four degrees on a slightly overcast day. Weatherman said rain. If you could get paid that kind of money for being wrong sixty percent of the time, it'd beat working.
