In the Little Mermaid I remember when I first saw it I thought it was funny after she was turned into a human and was way under water and couldn't breathe. I remember laughing at that point and finding her predicament hilarious.
Am I some sort of a sociopath or is this normal?
I always laughed at the stuff the sea witch Ursula said. She had some of the best lines! That song 'Poor Unfortunate Souls' is horrible and yet absolutely hilarious!
I laughed as Agent Phil Coulson in The Avengers movie was dying. For some reason I had this idea that he was messing with everyone and he wasn't really dying. Then after I realized he really did die I laughed even harder for thinking he was faking it and out of shock.

I used to laugh really hard during the part in the Jim Carrey version of the Grinch when it was a flashback to his childhood and he trashed the classroom because the Who children made fun of him. It was really embarrassing when I watched the movie at a friend's house during a sleepover and my friend and her mom both looked at me like "WTF is wrong with you?"
I've never understood why that scene caused me to react that way, especially since I was a victim of bullying myself. You'd think that that scene would cause me to sympathize with the Grinch instead of being reduced to a giggling fit of schadenfreude.
