Is it normal i think we need a new government system?

I do not believe in anarchy, monarchism, democracy, socialism, communism or any other existing system. Everyone with one of these systems has failed at one point. So obviously they all have draw backs. I believe we need to take the good points from each one and make a balanced system. Even systems that supposedly help everyone are usually more inclined to help one group of people. Which leads to the other groups eventually saying "What about us? Fuck you!" The system collapse or we have a war/battle/fight and so on. Can we not all agree that some of us should not be favored by the government?

I agree with this 6
I agree but given how selfish people are I do not think it will happen 13
This is the reason I hate people. 1
I like my government as flawed as it is 3
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

The problem with democracy is that most people are idiots.

Just because a system eventually collapses does not mean it is a bad system, it just means it has run its course and is no longer relevant. It doesn't mean it was *always* a bad system - in fact, it was almost certainly the best system at the time it evolved.

There is no such thing as a flawless system. Even a "balanced system" as you put it, where every person from every class advances equally, would leave people (including me) saying "but nothing is changing. Nothing is getting better". Some people *need* more help than others, and those people will complain in even a balanced system.

We shouldn't devise our governments to act in a way for as few people as possible to complain, we should devise them to do the right thing. How do we decide what the right thing is? Democratic vote.

    • If all people are doing well why would they be depressed. I do not understand your logic at all. How is making things more productive bad? That is like saying "All kids are passing school and doing well. They must be so miserable". We should make half the kids fail so some of them will be happy". Should we favor a child since he has white skin? Say hey you get better cloth since we like you more next to this colored kid? That seems just?

All people are not doing well, that's the point.

You never mentioned making anything more productive in the OP.

"Should we favor a child since he has white skin?" No.

I don't understand you at all.

        • The point is to make EVERYONE do well. Not just some people based on who you believe is more WORTHY of assistance. No group is special and no group needs to be favored. We all should get some help sometimes and you believe that is bad. You assume everyone is doing great all the time. That is not how anything is. Helping one group and ignoring the other is just saying "You are not good enough. Since you are not born with that right". Does that really seem good to you? We always pick sides. We say right or left. Top or bottom. Are we not all people? Do we not all deserve help? Do we not ALL deserve to be treated fair? Do we not ALL deserve to be given the opportunity to do well? We are not ALL given that right. Each system picks one side. Is one side really better? Are we not all people? We should not favor the left or the right. We should favor no one.

"The point is to make EVERYONE do well." Some people are already doing well. I propose we give less help to those people because they do not need as much help, and instead direct the help to people who are not doing well.

"You assume everyone is doing great all the time." I literally just said this wasn't what I thought.

I don't care how anyone is born. That isn't my point and never was. I never even came close to implying it was. We should give care according to need, *that* is my point.

    • favoring one people over the other is not fair and gives them all the pull. When this happens they are the only ones with any influence. This is pointless and does nothing but piss off the people who do not benefit and are left on there own.

No people do not need more help. No one is special. No one needs more help. We should all get help. We all need a helping hand sometimes. Most systems will eventually collapse and change to a different form of government. Which means it has failed perfectly. That is based on selfishness.

No one should be so selfish. We should all be given equal rights. This is never the case. Being born into a income does not make you magically better, being a certien race does not make you magically better. Being born a gender is not going to make you more perfect. Government should not judge on this. Government should be ran fairly.

This selfishness is what ruins government. People say "Well I am more special since I am this reason". No you are not! No one is. People must respect each other and not act so entitled and everyone wants to. It doesnt matter if you are white, brown, yellow, red, blue or any other color. It doesnt matter if you are rich or poor. It does not matter if you are gay, bi, straight or trans. The fact is that we are all people.

Only promoting one group of people to do better leaves the rest to fail. How is that in any way productive to a government or its people? All people should be encouraged to do well. If not the country fails and it has failed its people.

Saying you are worse or better since you are gay or straight means you are a close minded fool. Saying you are better since you are rich or poor makes you an ignoramus. We should give all people the resources they need and option to try for a better life. We do not do that in any of these governments. We favor one group of people since we say "They are more special". NO THEY ARE NOT MORE SPECIAL! THAT IS NOT WHAT DICTATES YOUR WORTH AS A PERSON! IT SHOULD NOT BE EITHER!

Woah. Let's reign this in a bit:

"When this happens they are the only ones with any influence." - False. Current systems do not favour everyone equally, but more than one group of people has influence.

"We should all get help. We all need a helping hand sometimes." - True, but you're building a straw man. Some people need a helping hand more frequently than others because they are poor or discriminated against in the private sector, and we should give them that help.

"Most systems will eventually collapse and change to a different form of government. Which means it has failed perfectly." - Refer to my first comment.

"We should all be given equal rights. This is never the case. Being born into a income does not make you magically better, being a certien race does not make you magically better. Being born a gender is not going to make you more perfect. Government should not judge on this. Government should be ran fairly." - I agree. I believe everyone should be given help based on need instead of race, class, gender or anything else.

I think we actually agree, we're just both phrasing our thoughts very differently.

I'm quite fond of direct democracy ie. the Swiss with their legally binding referendums on many issues/proposals that would be normally be dealt with a parliament in other countries.

The sad truth is that our democratic governments are no longer democratic. Sure, on polling day it's "one man, one vote" but that about ends the equality.

Once your elective representative takes office he has this to deal with. - A bunch of parents lobbying him/her to better fund their school library concerns him/her far less than a business owner threatening to move the biz abroad - putting 100's out of work - unless he gets a tax break or subsidy.

The powers, laws and rights that used to prevent that kinda thing have slowly been eroded. Now, everyones at the mercy of private capital, including those we vote for. If it's not beyond reversing already, it soon will be.

There's no government will to change it,, those in power now view their election as a stepping stone to a corporate career.

Democracy works WHEN it's democratic. We need to return to representation of the people by the people by drawing our representatives FROM the people rather than those with vested interests and selfish goals.

I've long proposed that representatives by chosen by a similar process to a jury selection. That'd ensure a genuine cross-section of society, diverse views currently stifled by Party agendas, and votes liable to reflect those views.

You can call a system any name but it's the same things that topple the succesful ones every time - inequality and greed.

  • The system that will prevail is demonocracy.

The hierarchy of power will be too formidable.

The height and scale of the pyramid is already too great.

The source of power relies on you to remain asleep.

Keep dreaming because this is sempiternal.
