Is it normal i think the holocaust is exaggerated?

They say that approximately six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust.

It is hard for me to reconcile just how it is possible to systematically execute that many people given the resources available. Also, because records are so poorly kept, it seems like it would be easy for propagandists to inflate the actual number in the wake of the war.

I feel like I can never say such a thing in public, because I would immediately be branded as a "Holocaust Denier", which is apparently such an awful, offensive thing in today's society.

I definitely believe that Jews were rounded up and held prisoner in work camps during the war. But I don't believe that they were systematically executed there, and that the sole purpose of the camps was to exterminate their race. Certainly many died while captive, and I do agree that many of those deaths were murders by their captors. Some numbers were probably just incidental from the poor conditions at the camp though.

Of course the Holocaust was a horrible thing, but there doesn't seem to be definitive evidence that the events unfolded EXACTLY as it is said they did.

Does the number really matter? Does it make it okay if only one person was killed for a bullshit reason?

I don't think it is exaggerated. But I do think it is a shame that we completely ignore the fact that the Afracains of the Barbary Coast were also enslaving whites during almost exactly the same time period in history.

    • There's a profound difference between one murder and six million murders. Yes, it matters.

All I can really tell you of the subject is that many details surrounding it are simply implausible. If one would simply research the subject they would quickly understand why the phenomenon of holocaust denial exists.

Another thing to think about: Why is it that the holocaust is so aggressively forced down the throats of the public, while other atrocities are largely overlooked? Everyone can tell you how many Jews were supposedly killed in WW2; no one can tell you how many victims the Armenian genocide claimed, or how many innocent civilians were burned alive at Dresden. Now of course, this begs the question: Why? Is Jewish pain worth so much more than that of gentiles?

So if less Armenians were killed it would be less of a tragedy?

The reason more people know details about the holocaust is because it was one of the major reasons for WWII.

Also, why would you care about Armenians? Just so you know, some Aryans don't accept Armenians as white. Same with Italians, Spanish, Portuguese, etc. Just something to think about.

        • "So if less Armenians were killed it would be less of a tragedy?"
.....I guess so. You can't tell me that you consider one murder equal to 100 murders, or 100 murders equal to 1,000.

"Also, why would you care about Armenians? Just so you know, some Aryans don't accept Armenians as white. Same with Italians, Spanish, Portuguese, etc. Just something to think about."
I don't care if they're White or not. Regardless, they are generally not considered White.

Is the evil intended worse or not depending on what you can pull off?

So the million plus Christians also killed is also exaggerated?
Actually, the Nazis kept impeccable records and if it weren't for these records, the world would have had no idea the extent of the slaughter.
You might benefit from a bit of reading, because your post is evidence you have absolutely no knowledge of what you are talking about.

Holocaust denial not only means to ignore the existence of an unsurmountable amount of evidence and a huge body of scholary work, it also means to spit on the graves of the 11 million people that were killed by the genocide and the overall 50 to 85 million people that died during the second world war. Holocaust denial is almost exclusivly held by antisemites like neo-nazis, white supremacists and islamists. It is as despicable a believe you could possibly have. “Holocaust denial is the work of bigots. We must reject their false claims whenever, wherever and by whomever they are made.” (Kofi Annan)

    • See, this is one of the points that I am trying to get across.

I am not a neo-nazi or an antisemite. I am merely questioning the historical accuracy of some of the widely circulated claims made about the Holocaust.

I don't harbor any ill-will towards Jewish people. Many are some of the nicest people that I have met. I don't think they are "making it all up" as part of some conspiracy either.

I just wonder why certain facts about the Holocaust are taken for granted. The purported number seems implausible. The attributed motives have not been definitely proven - no document has ever been uncovered where Hitler directly addresses what is going on at the camps.

There's a reason why its called the Holohoax. Because that's exactly what it is. One documentary a very detailed one at that is called "1\3 of the holocaust" and that's only 4 hours long.

yeah I am sure that is why my wife's grandpa her grandma and his best friend were making it all up , esp since they had the tattoos on their arms and they both lost most of their family and friends over there in the camps and during bombings. I am sure that is why people like otto frank ,elie weisel spent the rest of there lives making sure people didn't forget.it wasn't just jews it was anyone the Nazi's found imperfect, gypsies, people of color , mentally challenged people gays and lesbians.

It is exaggerated as compared to current issues of genocide by super powers and their CIA operations which goes under the radar

Yeah 2700+ people of a specific race to be systematically put to death per day for six whole years is pretty fucking crazy. Thats alot of bodies to burn. Thats alot of bones to find. Aaand theres another 5 million to add to that daily average since 11 million is the official total.

But its illegal to question it. So SHHHHHHHHHHH.
