Is it normal i think stephen hawking is annoying?

First off, I just want to make something clear: this has absolutely nothing to do with his disease. In fact, it is kind of amazing what he has achieved with his disability. However, I think he is probably in the top 10 of the world's most annoying people.

I think he doesn't believe in any sort of god, because he believes he IS a god. His attitude is really odious; his opinion is the only one that matters and everyone else is stupid. I'm not overly religious or anything and I have a great respect for scientists, but I also believe that if religion brings people comfort, how dare someone belittle them for it.

    It's normal to feel annoyed by people. It's not always for rational reasons, but it's definitely normal nonetheless. I actually kind of agree with you that Dr. Hawking can be a bit arrogant with regards to religious beliefs (though I'm religious myself, so my emotional ties to that subject are definitely non-zero). I've never dwelt on it, and it wouldn't stop me from feeling rather honored if I were to have the chance to meet him in person; but little things can inspire big emotions, so if they have in you, so be it. Just don't worry about it too much and you'll be fine.

    At first I was wondering why anyone would feel annoyed with someone who has different ideas.

    Then I thought about how I feel when religion messangers come knocking on my door.

    Stephen hawking just recently revised his theory on event horizons in black holes and changed it to "apparent horizons."

    Hawking will be forgotten quickly after he dies. He has done nothing to bridge quantum theory to relativity.
