My cousin just proposed to his girlfriend of 6 months. Everyone in the family is like, awwwwwwww good for you, but me? I think he's an idiot, who gets engaged that early in a relationship? So, is it normal I think my cousin is making a huge mistake?
My uncle is in the military, and he proposed to a girl he met at a bar after 3 days of knowing her.
It has been 6 years and they are still going strong with 2 kids.

Well, I don't agree with sudden proposals like that, myself, but hey. Maybe it'll work out.
Yes its normal to think its too soon, but you should try not to be a complete jerk to your brother over it. However I knew couples who got married sooner then that and are still together so it depends. You are true there is a higher likely hood of failure if you do it too soon but again there is a small chance it will last.
