I think that people who like music are weak. They are easily influenced, needy and emotional. And fragile.
is it normal to think so?
If this is a serious question then no it isn't normal, hands down. I can't imagine that with all the different types of music that you don't like ANY of them, cringe whenever you hear it and start deeming people fragile and such. You know what, I don't like popular music with just some famous artist's lyrics and the typical bass guitar, electric guitar and drums, I find it repetitive and their song has to be really unique for me to like it. I can jam to guitar but it has to sound like something I haven't already heard before. I understand though that people have different tastes and I won't just straight hate those who do. If still serious, I'm sure you just haven't listened to ALL the different kinds of music and you just hate certain kinds which would at least be normal.
Could you be one of those aliens who didn't like music in Elite Beat Agents for DS? The agents and earth citizens vaporized them by singing and creating enough music. Hmm...

Yes listening to music is mad. God forbid we have a soul. What are you mad since we can relax and you cant? What does attacking the rest of us going to do to help that horrible self esteem. So we have the goths, punks, emos, scene, rock, alternative, country, pop, electronica, hip hop and dub step. So you really going to take us all on and tell us how weak we are? Thats most of the world against you. What makes you so much stronger?
Sometimes its not about neediness, but just the enjoyment that can come from listening to music.
I wouldn't say people who like music are weak, but more open minded than you are.

Yes liking sound is bad. You probably are a stupid little pansy and you can not begin to take over the world. Since most of us like music and I am sure we are all a lot stronger you dumb ass. I'm not sure of the correlation between liking something and being influenced by it, and why this should relate to music more than anything else. I'm sure you'll elucidate, though.
It goes both ways. You choose music that you are predisposed to choose, and the chosen music affects you. Even if its in an insignificant way. Think about it.
OP is stupid. Music is a centerpiece in every culture that has ever existed. It is a form of art and self-expression. People identify with it like they do any other form of art and it brings people together. Music affects the brain in such a way that elicits an ineffable emotional response in all who listen. Nobody can 'agree' or 'disagree' with music, they either like it or dislike how it affects their mood. That is what makes it art. Its beautiful.

I know, I have autistic friends that are very intelligent. I met a girl who was partially deaf since birth and couldn't understand music. She wasn't at all stupid or ignorant like OP is...or is pretending to be. I was saying that more tongue-in-cheek

You raised something there that I didn't think about when I wrote my post. Very interesting. I thought I'd made my mind up but now perhaps I haven't. Would still like to hear more from the OP, though.
Music like other art forms have universal appeal because they are creative extensions of ourselves that challenge, comfort, confirm and inspire. To say music (or painting, or fashion, or dance, or sculpture or literature or ...) is for wimps is to just be idiotic.
If you don't listen to music, you're missing out on so many things. I can't even express how wrong I think you are.
I listen to music mostly to keep my in a rhythm, not really for any emotional input.

Musicians themselves are stronger than most non musicians. It is pure pain and hell mentally and physically to commit your life to real music. Touring would be a whole other story with physical exertion non stop, some injuries, sore as hell, overly exhausted then not to mention the lack of money in the music industry for the reals. Now if you are talking about the posers that only use a DAW, Auto Tune in gangsta techno rap genres like Nicki Minaj then yes. They are easily influenced and weak to follow the trends to fit in rather then be original and strive to actually have any real musical abilities nor have their own minds. It would be a very very ignorant statement to make that musicians are weak. It all actuality we stick to what we love to do no matter what anyone thinks willing to have no money and much to fight through to continue doing what we love.
