Just a thought really. Three years back, the majority were men. But now I believe the majority are woman. Dont take it offensively though! Just a question really, and I am a guy btw.
I arrived just over two years ago and it felt like a 50/50 mix back then (which kinds of fits with what you say). IIN is definitely more female now. Although I think the numbers of users hasn't necessarily changed. The females seem to be more vocal because I think IIN has become more social and the women feel more comfortable here than in the past. Some men enjoy the social side of IIN but there's a group out there that don't. I've certainly seen some people get frustrated when a story gets thirty answers and none of them are relevant to the question itself but are just people (including me) having a chat.
I tend to see a pretty eclectic mix, though I'm not sure of the gender of all of the users I know what most of the regulars are/identify as. :3

I agree, I didn't know there were so many female IINers until the IIN voice experiment :)
Well men probably left bacause of the increasing number of man-hating whores in here. Man-hating has become very common these days not only in the internet.
I joined in 2010 and the ratio of males to females was about even then. You might be right, it seems more female dominant now.

Contrary to what a lot of people are saying, males are over-represented on IIN in terms of site traffic. I don't know if that is also so for members or regulars though.
