Is it normal i think hating a business is out of jealousy?

There is always people that say "Business is evil". By this logic you are also evil for having a job. People create a business sometimes from the bottom up and have to try very hard to keep it open. If someone could not get hired and decided to go for a long shot and make a business are they really bad people? People who think this way want everyone to be poor so they can say "Look I am richer than you". That sounds incredibly selfish. I don't understand how you can hate someone for making a life for themselves. How are people so selfish and greedy?

Some companies are just greedy * cough *EA * cough * but some companies are evil and not just in a dramatic way, think of all the businesses that are involved in sweatshops or slavery, slavery is still a bigger problem than many people realise, also the companies who test beauty products and other non essential items on animals causing horrific pain and even death on animals, bear dancing, rare pelt traders, all over the world there are evil companies

Where there are people, there is evil. It's not the big bad corporations, it's the big bad people. People are the problem (let me point out that I am not an overpopulation nut), not the concept of a corporation.

I get what you are saying.

However, there are legitimate reasons to hate certain businesses.

Some businesses grow so large and become so detached from the local communities they're active within that their values become compromised - they don't take into consideration the effect of their activity on the 'small people'.

For some businesses, ethical practice is seen as a hinderance to expansion and profit-making. They look for any opportunity to avoid paying taxes, to avoid adhering to sustainable environmental policies, to avoid paying good wages to the people at the bottom. They make so much money, they are virtually untouchable legally (unless challenged by an equally large corporation or government). If they can get away with it, they will - even if it's morally or ethically wrong.

So don't think jealousy is the only reason behind some people's antipathy towards 'big business'. Of course most businesses are perfectly fine, functioning, contributing members of the economy. But some businesses are monsters.
