Is it normal i think colored contacts are so effing tacky.

I wear contacts I wear the Marilyn Manson ones every day.

I just think they ruin what is beautiful as it is, God made us with OUR eyes. They are most beautiful.

From personal experience, I think brown eyed people who wear the green/blue/grey, etc contacts are insecure. I used to wear them for years because I never appreciated my own brown eyes and didn't think the colour was pretty. I felt they were plain and just 'boring'. I felt prettier wearing the coloured ones. Then, I got lasik surgery for near sightedness and could not wear lenses anymore because it irritated my eyes. This was the turning point for me. This is when I really started to appreciate the colour I was born with. I think brown eyes are beautiful. They have a sensual warmth and mystery to them. I'm not saying other colours are not beautiful, but I think we really need to appreciate what we are born with. Now, i feel like a weight has been lifted off of me since i don't feel the need to wear coloured lenses just to feel pretty.

I figured since I already needed contacts to get a color a little lighter than my natural eyes nothing wrong with that most people says it suits me..... I say who the hell cares.. do what YOU want..... That's like saying u hate pink lipgloss that alters your natural lip color or saying you hate when people tan or wear makeup... to each his own my friend

eye contacts=trying too hard=not attractive

i definitely disagree, unless people are buying the fashion store contacts!! haha Those are probably the ones you BOUGHT huh? because those look super fake! i wear prescribed contacts! gray at that and people think those are my real eyes!

They usually look fake. Blue on brown eyes especially. It's not pretty.

I quite like my eyeballs-(not my eyes because I have a ptosis and my eye is squinty) but my actual eyeBALL is my favourite feature of my body.

They have a yellow ring around the pupil then go into greeny/blue then a deep blue ring on the outside.
But costume contacts look like fun xD

OHH MAHH GAAAAHH! i agree with you! they just look soo fake god i hate them..i have contacts but the regular clear ones but everyone thinks its a fake color & i just tell them no its my real color i dont like to look fake[;<

I think the word tacky is tacky.

I wear cat eye contacts when I wear my catwoman outfit for certain...occassions.

But I can't see wearing them (or any modifying lens) everyday.

I wore them for a bit and I tend to agree with you. I always said I loved my eye colour and then, for some reason, decided to try something different. The blue were the worst. I looked like a psychopath. The brown completely changed the contrast of my face and I looked like an alien.

The contacts had a lot of detail drawn on them but I still prefer the reality. I've got quite noticeable limbal rings and flecks of amber in the green. I still can't work out why I thought I needed to change (although I had just come out of a relationship).

I know what you mean, people ive known who had those kinds looked strange... Totally unnatural looking too. The costume ones are fun though x3
