Is it normal i think being alone is freeing

For some reason I love being alone, I love being comfortable with my own company and thoughts, when I come indoors and I'm home alone I love it, I feel happiest like it.

I'm not keen on friendships of any sort, both friends and relationships, I see my friends going in and out of relationships and wonder why they do it, why would they let themselves be treated like they do.

Other people just drag you down, they can influence small decisions that might not seem important, and possibly shape your whole future, surely the only way to live our destined lives is to live it alone?

people are too exhausting. I agree with you except for the relationships part... because when you find the right person they become an exception to our generalizations.

I used to not like being alone but after spending a great deal of time alone I realized how much easier it is.

I like being alone. It is nice, just you and your thoughts to fill the room. When I'm with others I feel pressure to fit in, be friendly, and gain their acceptance. I don't need the extra pressure! Being alone is better because in a sense you are "free".

All depends on the day and mood sometimes I'm perfectly happy being alone and other times I just wanna get my ass out there and have a good time, so I do and then I'm happy being alone again lol

    Yeah.
My family make me suspicious of people.
The people that I'm supposed to be able to trust the most are a bunch of assholes, so I even want to get away from them and live my life someplace away from everyone that knows me.

My mom always whined about my isolation.

I think that being comfortable alone is great - I also enjoy my alone time.
In addition, I was listening to a CBC program and they were discussing how introverts can switch back and fourth from extroversion when they NEED to - when they are in their extroversion form and they need a break, the introvert in them can go to a place inside themselves (meditation so to speak) in order to adapt to the situation that requires them to be extroverted. It was interesting. .... anyway.

Do what makes you happy! I don't think that's how most people are, but it seems fine.

I agree. I just enjoy my own company over anybody else's.
