Is it normal i talk to people i dont know on facebook and real life? i talk to people to just talk for the hell of it. i see it as practice. sometimes i get rejected but it doesnt matter much to me. it seems these days people dont give a damn about talking to new people
Don't u talk to strangers every day if u work in service field. I am a service tech and I go talk to strangers, pet there animals, joke with them, sleep with their eldest daughter every day
Talking to strangers is the real life version of IIN.
Most of us don't (or shouldn't) give a damn what strangers think of us, so it's a fun thing to do, without worrying too much about their opinions.

You misunderstand me. No one is going to find you WEIRD for doing this. It means you have balls, or are just friendly. People like this quality in others. I was just saying that there are lot's of lames that are too scared to do what you do. If people respond to it well, why change?
I think it's normal; heck I go up to random people and sing to them when I'm bored.

i prefer people i already know... i find their is too much pressure to live up to societies standards of acceptable when it comes to interacting with people you dont know... plus the people who know me already know im some kind of sub species of human long forgotten that lives in the woods and cant make heads or tails of existence
I think you have a good attitude. Talking to people is great and makes them feels good as long as you don't go about it in a creepy way.
If "normal" means what the average person does then it's not according to the way society behaves. But it's a good thing to do, I personally wish people would do it more often. Some people like me will appreciate a casual conversation a stranger stirs up (as long as I'm not in a hurry anyway!). People these days usually just seem too self absorbed and isolated from everyone else and there is largely no sense of community and being in crowds feels so artificial if that makes any sense. Just make sure you're not accidentally coming off as creepy when you approach a stranger!
