Is it normal i still have feelings for my first love?

My first love was a guy named Michael. I was 14 when we started dating, he was my first everything, my kiss, crush, boyfriend and guy to have sex with. We broke up on and off a lot, he usually him broke up with me. I didn't know anything about being in a relationship so i was doing things wrong lol. We never cheated on each other or anything of that nature. After the last time we broke up we always stayed in touch, he lived right around the corner from me until last year. I'm 18 now and he's 25. We still keep in touch from time to time. Every time we talk i get excited, remembering all the good times and experiences we had. I still love him. I've been in a new relationship for a year now, and we are so happy and love each other unconditionally. Is it weird i still love Michael while loving my new boyfriend? If someone asked me the question if i had the chance to get back with Michael would i leave my new boyfriend for him, i would say no in a heart beat. I love Michael not as strongly as my new boyfriend but along those lines. Michael still cares about me, And is very protective of me just like a brother would. He told me once a while back, he wanted to get back together, but he knew i was dating someone else at the time. He's moved on as well, as i did and is happy, but he's still there for me. What do you guys think?

    Yeah, you never forget your first love. Which is unfortunate for me seeing as the girl I recently fell in love still had feelings for her first love. We aren't even friends now....anyway, that doesn't matter. Wow, if you're 18 and he's 25, that means that when you were 14, he was 21. But that doesn't matter now since you're 18. Anyway, it's normal, but you sound like you really love your current boyfriend. Just stay with him, and try not to think too much of this other guy.

      I meant he's 22 not 25, haha. Yea i was young i was 14 and he was 17, we stopped dating after i turned 17. I have been it's not a problem that I'm having. Michael isn't on my mine all the time. I was just wondering if it was normal to still have feeling for an ex, and still love someone else. Like i said the feelings for Michael aren't strong but they're still there.
