Most of us have experienced those impatient drivers who will ride right up behind you because they think you're going to slow. When someone does this to me, I slow down or I will block them from passing me by driving close to the car in the next lane. After I decide I've had my fun they angrily speed off ahead of me. :)
I never do that. I always let them by because they are probably in a rush for a reason. Like what if they have explosive diarrhea and just want to get home to their favourite toilet, or they just found out their child was in an accident at school. Or what if they are truly psychotic person... I don't want someone like that driving so close to me - I'd rather pull over and let them ride someone else's ass.
Assuming that people are riding your ass because they are simply a dickhead is called a fundamental attribution error.
I don't drive and, as a non-driver, I never understand why people act so oddly when driving. Why they have to press a point home or get so angry that it descends into road rage or when someone overtakes them, it's necessary to overtake back, even at risk to yourself.
People act abnormally in cars. Why? Is driving really difficult or stressful? Or does being in a metal suit of armour with an engine in it suddenly bring out a hunger for power?
I do it all the time.. well, it depends on the person, if I see an elderly guy or someone who look respectable -i'll speed up or let them pass, but if it's a fucking guido in a pimped up mazda i'll drive like my granma.. The reason? I wanna see him try and beat the shit out of me, lol.
Think it's an Internet thing , everyone's 10ft tall when they turn on that engine all protected in that metal cocoon and no one can tell otherwise, just like hiding behind that keyboard.
I will speed up to the speed limit if I'm under it and try to get out of their way if possible.
If they still ride up my ass after that, then I'll hold them up.
What's more fun to watch is if the guy behind me weaves through 5 lanes of traffic on the motorway trying to get ahead, only to end up still further behind.
I do the exact same thing and when there is no cars on the lanes next to me an they change lanes i speed up so they can't pass me an I love fucking with them, that's what they get.
Until the day someone gets out of the car and beats the shit out of you for doing it. I've seen this exact thing happen lol. Nothing funnier than someone fucking with someone else only to be turned to pulp upon a face to face encounter. You're a chicken shit lol.
I just stick to the speed limit, if they get too close I'll hit the brakes. That usually pisses them off.
It's completely normal. I do this all the time, I like pissing people off while driving. I always love honking at bike riders. Since they don't have any fucking turn signals how the hell are you suppose to know that they're gonna turn?! I just barely crash into them all the time lol.
I think if you are going the speed limit and they are trying to ride your tail than screwing them over is fine becuase your following the law and they are not .
People like that piss me off. Get off my ass! I always drive the speed limit or 5mph lower. When i get tailgated I watch in the mirror, when the peckerhead behind me looks away I pull up my parking brake. When no brake lights go on I'm suddenly in his grill. The peckerhead will then back off!
Yeah; I've done some pretty outrageous stuff due to my road rage. Been trying to calm it down a little though. I almost road someone off the road once.
I think it's normal. Personally, I just make sure I'm driving at exactly the speed limit. That way, I'm not going slow just to be a jerk.
Yep I do that too. The logical thing is to just take it easy and wait for a chance to pass. Nothins gonna change no matter how close you sit , until there's a chance to pass.
So to me people who sit up your arse are just dumb f'ks and deserve it bc they're too stupid to put that simple 2 and 2 together.
If someone is gaining on me and I'm in the fast lane I let them past. I expect the same courtesy to be extended to me.
If someone is being a dick, yeah I love to fuck with them.
Just this morning I was fucking with this one car, they were going 5 under speed limit at first, on a 55 two lane highway. So I passed them. Later on they sped up for some reason and got WAY too close for comfort. I slowed down to 45/50 on the blind corners and just above the hills when they couldn't pass, and sped up just when it looked like they could pass. Then we got to this one straight stretch and they just rode me even though I slowed down to let them go around. I waited and waited... then just as they tried to go around I took off like a bat out of hell.
AH IF ONLY I COULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON HIS FACE! :D
