Is it normal i sleep more during naps then at night?

K so. When I get home from school, no matter what I cannot stay away and i end up napping for about 3-4 hours. And on the usual school night i sleep about 2-4 hours regardless of wheather or not I napped that day. So i pretty much get more sleep during the day, but combined it basically is equal to a full night of sleep. It's getting old and I wish I could quit my naps but I can't get myself to ever go to sleep before 1 nor can i find the energy to stay awake after school. Anyone else do this? Is this unhealthy? Will it eventually take it's toll on me?

actually two 4hour naps is more healthy than 10hour sleep because it suits the human body and our activities.

I have the same problem. Whether or not I take naps, I only get 6-7 hours of sleep. I think it might be hard for you to fall asleep before 1:00 because it feels like a chore when you try to get to bed at a certain time, and it doesn't come naturally. This isn't the best suggestion, but you could try drinking a caffeinated beverage during the day in order to stay awake during your usual nap time -- then go to your room a little before the bed time you want with the lights off (this prepares the body for sleep) and you may fall asleep easier since you skipped your nap.

I think its normal but unhealthy. I tend to go through periods where I have lots of trouble sleeping (worse trouble than what you described). But, you need to find ways to get yourself on a schedule where you sleep during one designated period.

I think it will definitely take it's toll on you, you need to do something that makes you stay away and maybe then just get an early night? Your body has got so used to napping after school it's just natural now.
I'm an awful sleeper, I've resorted to going for a run about an hour before I go to bed to drain my energy.
You'll have to do something active to stay away- by the sounds of it as soon as you sit down you drift off lol eventually your body will get used to not napping and you'll only fall asleep at night then, but I do think you need to do something, it's not healthy.
