Is it normal i see ants crawling that aren't there

if i stare at the carpet for like 30 seconds or more i will see thousands of ants crawling all over the floor that aren't really there. i am 24 now and this has been happening since i was a kid but i never told anyone. does that sound like some sort of mental illness?

    This happens to me, too. I don't know if it's normal or not but it happens to me and it's been happening since I was a kid, as well.

    sounds to me like eye strain.

    on the other hand, this one time I was staring at the wall and it started melting. i was trippin balls tho.

    don't stare/strain your eyes like that and the ants will go away!
