Is it normal i regret not stopping?

On the 26th of June, I was driving home and noticed there had been a car crash involving an utility and a motorbike.

The crash must have happened just minutes earlier and already there were lots of people around helping the cyclist, so I decided to not stop and see if everyone was okay, assuming with the ammount of people around, surely everyone would be fine.

The next day I heard on the radio the motor cyclist passed away from her injuries, and now I'm racked with guilt and wonder if I had stopped, maybe I could have helped in someway and she'd still be alive.

is it normal I regret not stopping?

I don't know what number of people had actually stopped but if it's more than a handful (and you're not a medical professional), I think it's reasonable to assume you'd have been unlikely to change the outcome.

In some hospitals, rainy weather is known as motorcycle organ donor weather. That's how dangerous they are. I love motorbikes but you'd hope that everyone driving one knows the statistics.

I really doubt you could have done anything.

You wouldn't have changed the situation. Dude still would have died.

It's just the way it was meant to be. His day to die. Whether or not you stopped wouldn't have changed anything. It's just strange to have witnessed it and perfectly normal to be haunted by it.
