Is it normal i push kids over just for the fun of it?

Ok, so i have this job babysitting where i have to watch 3 little girls. The brattiest one is the youngest. (2 years old) So when she does'nt get her way or her sisters tell her not to do something that she knows she should'nt be doing, she throws a full on temper tantrum. That is the first time i had ever been bitten... so i take her into her room and start to push her around to giver something to REALLY cry about. And for some reason it just makes me feel a little better. Not becuase i know im stronger than her, but because i feel like im getting back at her for having it so easy, then complaining about it! Has anyone else ever done this???

NO that is AWFUL. that little girl is practically still a baby and you, the BABYSITTER are supposed to be there to protect her and make sure shes happy and content NOT to PUSH HER AROUND and make her cry! thats sick! shes a child, and children are difficult but thats only because they are so young and they DONT KNOW ANY BETTER, but you have no excuse! you are old enough to know that picking on someone smaller then you is never ok, and even worse youre getting PAID to ensure the safety of that baby....if i found out my babysitter was pushing my two year old around i would hit her with my car!

likely NOT normal, lol. I'd seek out the help of a punching bag or something else than a infant.

    What state are you in?
You could go to jail for pushing her around like that. Your posting here is enough to incriminate you.

  • You are definitely over your head and should give up this job for the sake of those children and yourself. Tell the mom - I can't cope- no shame in that.

Don't look to this site for what you did being deemed "normal." You should know a thing or two about behaviour management & young children - but since you don't - admit you are over your head & quit that gig. There are other jobs, jobs were you won't be expected to know more than you do nor hurt someone young & vulnerable.

Two year olds don't really understand that biting hurts you, they just see that it makes you react, and they can't communicate with words very well yet so some of them try to communicate by biting.

Her behaviour sounds perfectly normal for a child her age so if you can't handle it you really shouldn't be babysitting children her age. You're strong enough to really hurt her, and you should be capable of dealing with your frustration without pushing a two year old around.

Yes, it's normal. I hate fucking brats. Someone needs to push her around. Obviously her parents don't discipline the little bitch.

Why would you push her?, if she bit you then you give her an evil stare, i always do it and it works because they run away with wide eyes thinking 'WTF did i just do?!?!', they're either thinking that or 'Wow i like winnie the pooh'

Kids can be pretty annoying sometimes. To a piont where you feel like doing something horrible. But obviously you should never. Whenever you feel like you had enough just take deep breathes and remember that patience is the key.

You must have some repressed memories. Were you bullied or abused so badly that you have to pick on a two year old child? Or are you that fucked up normally? Either way you should go to jail or juvenile detention for that.

I've wanted to shove annoying kids too, but I don't put myself in situations with kids. I can't stand them. Maybe you should admit that it's not the right job for you (or them) and be honest with your employer. Those kids are just being normal kids.
