Is it normal i only wear a bikini in public?

I live in a part of the usa(which i will leave unnamed for my own privacy irl.) which is very relaxed about indecent exposure laws, you cannot walk around completely naked and still cannot flash people, but you are allowed to walk around only covering your private parts.

I am fairly ashamed to admit, but i abuse this for all its worth. When i was just moved in here I only wore bikini's since i was adapting to the heat, and at first i was a bit embarrassed about it... but i got kind of relaxed and just stuck with it after awhile. I still wear formal clothes as needed(for my job, family, etc...), but when its a simple stroll around town I don't bother with wearing covering clothes.

so would it be considered normal for another woman to do the same thing if they went through the same experience?

    If I had that kind of self confidence I'd like it. It's not that I don't think people would look at me. It's about how I'd react if they did, depending.

    If you are comfortable with showing off your body in a bikini or less, go for it. I love to see an attractive woman wearing as little as possible.

    its ur body. u hv full right to do anything with urself. dont think about people that what they think. its normal.

      I agree with that thinking, its ok to do stuff one wants to, but i have to stop and think if what people do while not caring about what everybody else thinks can have consequences, because opinions differ wildly from person to person, sometimes you find someone who sounds right about the issues somethings can cause.

        i think that u r very much confused.. dont take so much stress on silly things.. if u want to do like this.. u can do it in ur home too when u r alone.. but never refuse to do things for people..

    Unless you live very close to the ocean, or another large body of water, I couldn't really say it's normal. But I wish it were. I mean I've lived in a coastal city, but even there, it would be unusual to see people wearing swimsuits more than a short walk away from the beach.

    I think it should be fine legally pretty much anywhere in the US though. So feel free.

    Purely out of curiosity, are you from someplace where this definitely wouldn't be OK originally?

      I live in an area that is pretty warm, it is along the coast near the ocean, but there are also tons of other places to take a swim too.

      And yes I am from a place where it wasn't considered ok, but i've adjusted to my new lifestyle a lot.

      kind of attractive, and i keep in shape. I don't think it would be a crime tho if i wasn't, but that is just my thoughts.

          I dunno about that, i get some people who comment on my dressing habit positively, some react negatively, most don't comment or even stare. my wardrobe habits might not be normal, but it is not unheard off here i figure since.... well you can see in the comment i left below about the details.

          I really think how people react comes from whether if the local community sees it a lot and if it does or does not have a lot of people who view this as taboo, beauty doesn't have the impact personal belief does after all.
