I'm a female, no kids yet. When friends with kids come and hang out, is it normal I only enjoy the company of little boys, but find little girls annoying?
I've always found boys easier to work with, but I wouldn't say I dislike girls. Looking after a 20mth old girl now and she's fun.
No I wouldn't think so.
tho I tend to dislike most kids that arnt mine cuz they dont seem well behaved.
I haven't enjoyed being around kids since before my youngest left the home.
Other people's kids drive me nuts, often poorly behaved and disrespectful. Babies are noisy and smelly (I know we've discussed this and maybe it's a guy thing), and a huge responsibility to care for.
I wouldn't even date a woman with kids when I was single.
Interestingly, I met a lot of attractive, interesting middle age women with college age kids, but they all had very unhealthy relationships with their kids. Driving them to and from college each weekend even if it was several hours each way. Doing their laundry and even buying their clothes for them. Literally babying these 23/24 year old adults as if they were 6 year olds.
Gawd forbid that I asked if they wanted to go sailing to Block Island or Martha's Vinyard for a week; "But I've got to be here for the weekend to be with my baby." I shit you not!
Don't get old and be alone, unless you want to take a back seat to some mommy's boy.
Sorry, I apologize for the rant.
It would have been more not-normal (yet still normal) had you said you preferred girl kids over boys. I actually don't think I've come across anyone like that.
