Is it normal i never get sick and i never wash my hands either?

I never wash my hands and I don't follow most food safety guidelines. I'm not concerned by germs at all and I NEVER get sick. I've been living this lifestyle for decades now without ever getting so much as a sniffle. It's not luck, I've simply toughened myself up by not being such a pansy about hygiene.

IIN?

You've just built up some immunity. I don't buy into the anti bacterial crap and you couldn't pay me to use hand sanitizer. That shit disgusts me.

I use a hand cleanser at work because I touch a lot of cash everyday and this is the shittiest thing that exist and I shake hands with a lot of people.

It's so true our world is so at risk from disease now because we are so strict about not spreading germs

I go with moderation. I have to use hand sanitizer at work as I work in the food industry. Besides that, it's just showering and washing hands after the bathroom.

    Nothing too crazy either way.

I've studied quite a lot of microbiology and immunology and if everyone was like this then there would be a lot of nasty diseases being spread around. Now I'm not saying you have to go OCD with the shit but it is a good idea to wash your hands in certain situations. I myself have found the bacteria which causes whooping cough on my arm which could potentially kill people if they had have come in contact with it. Also I tested the chicken from subway and it was rife with the salmonella and listeria bacterias, they would get shut down if I worked for the food standards agency.

Do you have friends? hahaha, how about a couple-relationship? if you'd touch your partner with those filthy hands, sure as hell your partner would catch some illness. Yikes, have some good hygine habits, would ya?

    • I touch every damn thing and anybody and I don't care. I don't wash in public or private.

As others have already said, you have built up a good immune system. I just hope that, for the rest of us, you wash your hands after using the toilet.

if you expose yourself to germs you fare better, because your immune system strengthens.

  • You have built up your immune system and you are good at maintaining a balance of good and bad bacteria on your body. However you're also lucky, if you come into contact with an out-of-the-ordinary germ that bypasses all of the good germs and your immune system, you're fucked. But personally I think that washing hands, in the long run, isn't much more beneficial than not doing so, unless you just handled raw meat or are about to do surgery

I'm a nurse and I can tell you now that if you saw those nasty bugs up close under a microscope you'd be washing your hands! You've built up your immune system but that doesn't mean that you'll never get sick from them

It's normal. You probably have a high natural immune system. Also, you've exposed your body to thousands of antigens (never enough to get sick) and your body has obviously produced thousands of antibodies as a result.
Drug addicts and alcoholics get sick all the time because their body is weak or they bypass their defenses.
I've studied pathology so I am drawing on more than just "conventional wisdom".

Probably because constant exposure to germs, assuming you have a decent immune system to begin with, can help build immunities. Fuck spelling.

The study Kelili referred to was in reference to kids developing allergies. Children of the newer generations are not properly developing immunities due to the cleaning products used in their households. Allergies are becoming more common due to the sanitary environments of classrooms and households as well as less outdoors time.

Personally, I don't believe in not being clean but assuming I ever have kids, I'm not going to break my back to keep the environment completely sterile... hell, I don't now.
