I have a friend who is in the habit of carrying a recording device with him everywhere he goes for this exact purpose. He once sat in the kitchen and for roughly two hours proceeded to narrate the various details of his weekend, including what he had for lunch on those days. I myself frequently narrate to myself while I perform certain duties, so as not to talk to people who aren't there (I sometimes have discussions with people in my head and if I don't take precautions, my thoughts can wander so far off the mark that I forget what I'm doing, which is the main reason for which I narrate my existence, though by no means the sole reason).

Stories are nothing without narration. Narrating captures us and holds on. I think it's wonderful.

I have a running commentary in my own head and frequently talk to myself in order to sort out my often chaotic thoughts. I have also considered keeping an "audio diary" where I would use my iPod to record my own monologues. Not sure if that's the same thing, but I basically wanted to let you know that I don't think that narrating your own life is weird at all. :)
That's not narration, that's emoting. Narration would be, like, "I was irritated by yet another shitty IIN post, so I wrote a nasty comment below it."
*stares at wall and thinks of a response to mentioned question* *aggressively taps fingers on table* *Aha!* Yes, it's normal. I think Will Ferrell did a movie where his life was being narrarated, it bombed but it got me thinking that's kind of how I view my life too. Kind of like a strange graphic novel.
