Is it normal i must listen to music

Whenever their is silence or nothing going on, I have to have music playing. I can't just lay down and listen to silence. IIN

    I hate quiet loud music.
    Like playing Metallica really low, and then I pick up bits and wiggles of the song, and then I can't stop listening to it.
