Is it normal i'm too trusting?

It's come to my attention that I'm too trusting of others. I'm like this on the internet as well as with my friends and bf as well. I probably reveal too much of myself on here as well but because I trust everyone...I won't do anything with others personal information I know and I just assume they will do the same. Is this normal at all? Are other people honest on here or is it all a front?

    Don't be trusting on the internet! There are some great people around, but there are some assholes as well. Never put anything out there that you wouldn't want traced back to you, mate.

    You are a very nice person but unfortunately most of the people you'll meet is not like that and have hidden agendas, so you have to be very careful of the information you reveal of yourself because others, including your bf and your frineds, can use it to take advantage of you.

    In person, I try and trust everyone until I am given a reason not to. I have been burnt before but it has also lead to some of my best friendships!

    Online, don't trust anyone, ever! That 17 year old guy on a public forum like this is usually some old hairy guy in his moms basement with nothing better to do!

    yeah i trusted someone who screwed me over big time and now wonders why i hate them and dont talk to them anymore and why other people hate them because they have been screwed over by this person too. i am too honest and trusting and expect other people to do the same which is a fault of mine that i trust people. but i assume the worst of everyone now because of how many times i have been screwed over by people on the internet. i guess thats the safest way to be. but even then people gain your trust and then screw you over, so you lose either way. people suck.
