Is it normal i'm sick of hearing "rape culture"?

If rape culture is legitimate, why isn't there a murder culture? There's a lot of murder going on. It's been institutionalized by culture. You can get away with it by saying self-defense and no one will care as long as the victim is a minority. Most cases are never resolved. All the things feminists say about "rape culture" could also be said about "murder culture". So why hasn't that been used as a buzzword?

Because it's bullshit, that's why.

Eh. I think it's a deliberately provocative buzzword, which annoys me too, but it's a big leap between that and the whole idea being bullshit.

I fail to see how your point about "murder culture" proves anything about the nature of rape culture. Just because the term "murder culture" doesn't exist doesn't mean the concept doesn't exist in real life, or that the concept of rape culture doesn't exist in real life.

The relevant difference between rape and murder is the large number of people in many subcultures (example: night-clubbers) who don't see sexual assault as a big deal. "Rape culture" is a popular descriptive term for those cultures where the pervading attitude is that sexual assault is not a big deal. There are subcultures where murder isn't seen as such a big deal either (example: terrorist cells). In those groups there is definitely a "murder culture", and I think it would be completely appropriate to use that term.

There is very little in the lexicon of feminist doctrine that is real. They choose to emphasize whatever suits their present purpose without regard to truth or validity.
When one (or a group such as feminists) takes a tenuous stand without anything more than anecdotal evidence, then skewing the facts to support their theories, is their only option.

"Rape culture" is just one of these made-up words that are far from reality.

Is it normal that I think that "rape culture" is a buzz word (phrase) and the feminist's equivalent to the right-wing fundamentalist's "culture of death." They're both about sex and the objectification of women although they focus on different aspects thereof.
