I am only 17 but I am really scared of never getting married. I want to go to med school and I know I am going to be super busy. I am just terrified that I am going to be 5o years old and still be living alone. I have never had a boyfriend which might be adding to my fears. is this normal??!
Then it will be better to not have one. You'll be able to focus on what you want to get done and focus on one thing at a time
Haha it's fine to not have a bf, in fact it may make life easier for the moment cuz if u want to go to med school
BTW, having a husband is no guarantee you won't still be alone at 50.
Death and divorce can make sure of that.
Why do you want to find a husband? That's not right.
You should be looking for single guys......

It's normal, I got two girlfriends when I was 18 and both didn't last longer than a month and now I'm somewhat older and still no luck, but I know I'll get one eventually.
I just hope it will happen soon.
Maintain your education & career goals - those are what will make you most accomplished in life. And, it will both widen your opportunities to meet decent men & make you a very attractive marriage prospect.
BTW having a boyfriend & marrying on its own is not that big an accomplishment.
I never had a boyfriend in high school but I am getting married now as an adult so don't worry about that your not the only one.

I see your point at being 50. My friend is 58 and never married. Had lots of boyfriends and live-ins in her life. She is always lonely and sad. I think her being that way made the relationships end. I known her for over 30 years. I guess what I was trying to say is that the OP is still young. And if you are not a general happy person you probably will not find a guy because they pick up on it. Be true to yourself. Try to be a happy person. Going to med school will give her ample opportunities to find a guy.
If you get into med school, you might meet some other students! And tons of guys will want a smart girl like you!
At Tori, what if you are happy with yourself and still lonely at 50? There comes a point where if you are alone at that time, you naturally get sick if being alone.
If you just want "to be married" just hire someone and go to vegas and get married.
The real question, however, is whether or not you're going to be happy with your life.
No worries, you're only young! I'm sure you will find the right guy... just give it time :)
I never had a boyfriend till after highschool. They were jerks. I used to think the only way I would find a guy is if a knight in shinning armour would knock down my door. I'm married now. Wish I would have waited a bit longer.
Don't depend on a guy to make you happy. You gotta be happy with yourself. If a great guy comes along and enhances your life that's wonderful. Be happy with yourself first.
