Is it normal i'm sad it's over?

I just finished watching all of Six Feet Under and I want to curl up in a ball and cry. Actually I've already done that. It's over! I feel like a load of my friends have simultaneously moved away forever. I'm gutted.

Is it normal that I feel so sad that there is no more of this fictional universe to escape into? Are there any television programs / movies / books that you've watched / read that have left you in a similar state? (mention them below!)

Oh! I felt exactly the same about SFU. Especially because the very last episode did make me cry for days on end. I watched that whole Sia song scene every day for several days following that final goodbye to my life. Yes, it was my life, my family. Six seasons. Six feet. Six favorite characters, maybe nine, an inverted six. How I missed them.

I went on to the shows with the actors in it, but it was never the same. I'll list them for you so you can try and do the same. The ones with Peter Krause were worth it.

Nate: Dirty Sexy Money and The Lost Room (a really nice six-episode show, I highly recommend it).
    Brenda: Brothers and Sisters (meh...)
    David: Dexter (gotta love him)

Welcome to life after Six Feet Under.

The one that I watched after that and replaced it with was The Sopranos.

I grew up alongside Harry Potter, so it was weird when the books were over. I have zero attachment to the movies, though.

Next week I'll feel that way about Weeds as the series is ending and I feel that every time a TrueBlood season ends.

  • Mention them below. :)

I did feel that way about Firefly, Battlestar Gallactica (2004-2009), and Star Trek Voyager. I would have felt that way about the X-Files too, but they really fucked it up at the end and I started to not give a crap about what happened to either of them before it was over. :/

  • Every single show mentioned in this thread is/was terrible.

    Breaking Bad rapes them all.

      • Cranston is amazing. I can't fucking believe we have to wait until next year for the final. Why oh why did they split the last season into two parts.
